You have chosen to visit two important landscapes of Attica peninsula. The town of Lavrio, ancient theater and Museum and the cape Sounion Temple of Poseidon.
Follow with confidence Avenue Syngrou and then, with comfort, drive south on Poseidonos Avenue. On the right side of the road you feel the breeze of the Saronic Gulf.
Take a stand on the right side of the highway as you leave Athens. In the suburb of Athens called Voula. Admire the double-blue of sky and sea. Full romantic marriage.
The idea that we propose, is to make a small detour. A humble, quite concentrated, authentic town called Kalyvia will be found in your trip. It is landlocked. Turn southeast and enter to the village. Admire in the center the metropolitan church, drink a coffee with the locals, get crazy from the smell of grilled food kokoretsi of Mr Kollia, give promise to him that you will be back for a taste and continue the route.
Easily and beautifully you will end up at the foot of a hill near the town of Lavrion where on the top you will see the outstanding Acropolis and at its feet its ancient theater ..

But to tell you do not miss to visit the city museum with the so important archaeological finds from the area, read the explanatory signs in the windows of the museum, enjoy an appetizer drink ouzo and the accompanying little food that is mezedakia in the port city.
The day, the time, are looking forward to catch the final destination of the Temple Poseidon not far away. The road is consistent with the indented coastline, but not met with her. Patience, in very short time you will reach the sacred rock Sounion where the surrounding ocean will give you lifelong unique pictures ..
